Elizabeth Park is located in the historic Eldridge-Columbia Neighborhood, bounded by Washington, Walnut, Madison, and Elizabeth Streets. It is the city’s oldest municipal park, featuring beautiful deciduous trees, some over one hundred years old, and promotes an atmosphere of simpler times long past. It is conveniently located a few blocks from the Bellingham Theater Guild, boasting such talent as the actress Hillary Swank, in her early years. The parkfills two city blocks with amenities that include tennis and basketball courts, picnic tables, large playground, and a gazebo which is available for reservation, except on summer Thursday evenings, when it is the center of numerous music festivals.
