The Mount Baker area is home to Mount Baker Ski Area within the Snoqualmie National Forest, one of the most visited forests in the country, located east of Seattle, Washington on the west side of the Cascades between the Canadian border and Mount Rainier National Park. About 31 miles east of the city of Bellingham, Washington, Mount Baker is the youngest volcano in the Mount Baker volcanic field. Here you will find extraordinary glacier-covered peaks, amazing mountain meadows and old-growth forests. It is the second-most active volcano in the range after Mount Saint Helens.
